江苏当地媒体报道称，今年5月3日，宿迁市民刘先生在朋友家做客，朋友8岁的儿子使用刘先生的手机无意间打开微信，点入一个名叫“抗战老兵关怀计划”的公益项目，并将刘先生银行卡内的1.7万元钱捐了出去。刘先生联系客服后得知，捐款被转入中国扶贫基金会。刘先生声称，自己多次联系中国扶贫基金会，此事均未得到处置，捐款未能返回。

　　儿童误捐，却无法取回款项，刘先生的遭遇被媒体报道后引发网络关注。

　　今日上午，新京报记者从中国扶贫基金会获悉，事发当日，在接到刘先生的退款申请及截图后，基金会即启动退款流程，但因刘先生始终未能提供“支付异常”以及支撑“8岁儿童误捐”的证明材料，导致退款流程无法继续。在与刘先生反复沟通后，6月1日，退款申请材料才全部补齐。该基金会一名负责人确认，误捐的1.7万元钱已于6月2日11点59分退回原账户。
